ABOUT US

SMALL TIME THEATRE is a community theatre group based in Calgary, Alberta for children grades 1 – 9

Small Time Theatre is a non-profit, children’s community theatre organization. Based out of South Calgary, children and youth in Grades 1 through 9 have been able to participate in annual stage productions learning music, dance, stage presence and backstage processes.A

The purpose of Small Time Theatre is founded on creating local opportunities for youth in the arts. Through performing arts experiences, children and youth can engage with their community and build face to face connection. Commitment to live stage productions has allowed children to develop personal growth in confidence, teamwork, communication and responsibility, in addition to the fun theatre skills of comedic timing, vocals and choreography.

STT is run entirely by community volunteers that donate their time and talents to enable local youth to have accessible experiences in the performing arts. We invite members of the community that have a love and interest in live theatre to come and join the team.

The joy of theatre is the process of growth and collaboration. The outcome is great family entertainment. Stay tuned for future opportunites to audition or volunteer in upcoming productions!

Small Time Theatre and all of our performers look forward to seeing you at our 2023/2024 productions of A Christmas Carol The Musical in December 2023 and Matilda Jr. in March 2024.
